Lowering the curtain without giving up
Keeping the flame alive. To cope with Emmanuel Macron's new announcements, restaurant owners in towns affected by the curfew are going to lower their curtains, but not their arms. Gault&Millau reports on their initiatives.
A new approach to catering is already in place, with
- Adapted hours for dinner service from 6pm onwards
- Opening of breakfast restaurants
- Adapting menus for larger tables
- Setting up delivery and Click & Collect services
- Launch of weekend brunches
- Combinations of dinner and overnight stay...
There's no doubt that original and constructive ideas will emerge, new ways of thinking about food and new ways of eating.
Gault&Millau relays initiatives that deserve the support of all, and of consumers in particular, who need to shake up their habits in order to maintain a social link.
