And that makes 10! For its 10th address in France (and 18th worldwide), the Mama Shelter label has set up shop in the heart of Dijon, opposite the Sainte-Bénigne cathedral and the Square des Bénédictins. Nestled in a brutalist building dating from the 1960s, listed by Bâtiments de France and transformed into a "luminous glass box", in the words of architect Benjamin El Doghaïli, the hotel houses 120 rooms with all the Mama hallmarks - a warm, functional ambience and decorative details that add to its charm (carpets printed with the city's emblems, etc.). The accommodation is beyond reproach, but what we like best here are the many spaces that have already made the hotel one of Dijon's hotspots - restaurant with large table d'hôtes, outdoor patios, Cinémama with private screenings, Burgundy wine tasting workshops, karaoke evenings, and even a pétanque court that fills up at aperitif time.
