Opened in 2020, Loire Valley Lodges is a destination conceived by Anne-Caroline Frey, who is as passionate about art as she is about nature and was determined to bring her two passions together. She succeeded with these 18 ultra-chic lodges designed by contemporary artists and nestled in the heart of a 300-hectare private forest. The treehouse-style lodges exude a bright, arty atmosphere, featuring contemporary artworks, king-size beds, and large floor-to-ceiling windows that make you feel as though you’re sleeping among the trees. Here, there are no screens or Wi-Fi, just a walkie-talkie to order room service or book a spa treatment (administered right in the lodge for a truly immersive sensory experience). Or you might prefer to head to the old farmhouse, which features a pool, a bar-library warmed by a fireplace, and the Ardent restaurant, now led by Rémi Berment.
