Gault&Millau's review2026
A long-awaited metamorphosis has brought new life to this "perched house", known since 1936 as the Manoir du Sphinx. Renamed Les Bassans by the Fontenille Collection in the summer of 2024, the hotel emerges like a Belle Époque liner suspended between sky and granite, overlooking Trestrignel beach. The 25 rooms and suites are veritable lookouts facing out to sea, equipped with telescopic windows to observe the ballet of gannets and the Sept-Îles archipelago. Inside, the architect has favored the elegance of an "exceptional cabin", with blond woodwork, brass and contrasting mosaics. The iodized table, orchestrated by an open kitchen, celebrates local treasures (snacked abalone, line-caught fish), while the Alaena spa, nestled facing the horizon, offers a panoramic sauna and organic treatments. A secret refuge where the customs path (GR34) meanders at the foot of the property, between gorse and hydrangea.
