Gault&Millau's review 2025

Perched on the heights of Étretat, tucked away among the tall trees of Val Saint-Clair, this family-run hotel is housed in a stunning Anglo-Norman-style building, easily recognizable by its impressive keep. It now features 25 charming rooms, each unique and inspired by notable figures born in Normandy. Our favorites? The Pierre Loti Suite, with its oriental decor and bow window, or the Guy de Maupassant Suite, featuring a living room-library overlooking the sea. This hotel has become one of the jewels of the Normandy hospitality industry, also highly acclaimed for its two excellent restaurants—Racines, which focuses on culinary residencies, and the gourmet restaurant led by chefs Killian Allain and Yannic Stockhausen.
