Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the heart of the Ile de Ré, nestled in the Vauban fortifications overlooking the village of Saint-Martin, this luxurious address houses 32 rooms and suites in three residences, decorated in the local spirit - whitewashed walls with natural verbena or sage tones, antique parquet floors and furniture sourced from local flea markets. Guests come here to enjoy a warm, refined ambience that also infuses the restaurant, a chic lounge bar serving excellent salads and plates to share. Then it's on to one of the hotel's two swimming pools or the Clarins spa, which features a hammam, sensory shower and treatment and massage rooms. Three villas are also available for rent, ideal for families or friends.
