Opened in 2012, the Hôtel du Cloître is already one of Arles' must-visit hotels. Particularly well-situated in the historic heart, on a delightful square shaded by a century-old paulownia tree, the establishment also captivates with its remarkable decor by the (very) talented India Mahdavi. Vast and ultra-luminous, the 19 rooms and suites showcase the best of her grammar: a genius for color and blending, a profusion of shapes and materials, giving the whole a tone as intimate as it is warm. To top it all off, there's a rooftop with a splendid view of the bell tower of Saint-Trophime church and the surrounding forest of rooftops. There's no restaurant here, but the neighboring épicerie du Cloître treats travelers to fresh recipes based on local produce and a fine selection of wines.
