It’s also worth noting that the place has everything to charm: a dream location, nestled next to a 200-hectare stud farm near the Rambouillet Forest; 73 rooms and suites with understated, elegant decor designed by the Be-poles agency—Shaker-style furniture, Barbour fabric curtains, and a breakfast nook where you can enjoy breakfast on the terrace overlooking the woods. When it comes to dining, the same philosophy applies, featuring local ingredients and hearty seasonal cuisine, served at large wooden tables in the restaurant. Just a stone’s throw away, the old mill houses a sauna, hammam, Nordic baths, and treatment rooms staffed by a massage therapist and reflexologist as well as an Ayurvedic massage therapist. It’s the perfect way to recharge after a day horseback riding in the forest, biking along the trails of the Chevreuse Valley, or playing a round of golf at the nearby Château de Rochefort course.
