Gault&Millau's review 2026

In Porto-Vecchio, the Hotel Balamina shakes up island codes with its "Loft-Urbain" spirit, not very common on the island. This 4-star hotel is all about excess: XXL rooms (35 to 55 m²) where sleek design meets carefully sourced vintage furniture. The highlight of the show is the panoramic rooftop on the top floor, featuring a glass-walled heated indoor pool for suspended swimming overlooking the peaks of the Ospedale. At table, the restaurant's glass roof invites you to savor instinctive cuisine (lamb shoulder confit, garden produce), between sky and citadel.
