Gault&Millau's review 2026

This Belle Époque villa, built in 1881 and once the residence of Doctor Jules-Eugène Lagrange, now dominates the Côte d'Azur from its heights in Boulouris, just a stone's throw from Saint-Raphaël. Nestled behind large crenellated walls, La Villa Mauresque owes its uniqueness to the well-preserved Moorish architecture that Jacques Garcia has restored to perfection: original zelliges, arcades and patios, contemporary custom-made furnishings in harmony with the spirit of the place. Its 22 rooms and suites - some with private Jacuzzis overlooking the sea - open onto a Mediterranean garden where century-old palms and rare species surround a swimming pool overlooking the Estérel. The restaurant Le Bougainvillier, the discreet concierge service and the feet in the water on the red rocks: an oasis of peace for the most demanding guests.
