On the edge of the Crécy Forest, this bed-and-breakfast, run by Hélène and Benoit Legru, appeals to all lovers of unspoiled nature. Nestled in a château built in 1740, four guest rooms have been tastefully furnished, blending original fireplaces and hardwood floors with more contemporary touches. All open onto the magnificent 5-hectare park with its orchards, vegetable gardens, and stables where horses and ponies share the space. After a walk in the forest or a lazy afternoon by the pool, head to the table d’hôtes, where you’ll be served (upon request) local meat or fish, not to mention spectacular seafood platters. Set back from the coast (yet just a stone’s throw from the beaches of Le Crotoy and Saint-Valéry), this is a peaceful and charming retreat.
