Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the heart of the Opal Coast, a (sublime) refuge, owned by 5-toque chef Alexandre Gauthier, who, with the help of architect Patrick Bouchain, transformed the old family cottage into a place of exceptional charm, cool, luxurious and eminently contemporary. Unfortunately, the bad weather of winter 2023 and repeated flooding destroyed everything and forced the chef to reinvent himself. As we go to press with this edition of our Hauts-de-France guide, the dates for the completion of the work and the reopening are not yet known. But Gault&Millau is confident that the talent and strength of character of both the chef and his incredibly close-knit team will soon bring this rare place back to life.
