Gault&Millau's review 2025

Set on a hill 530 m above sea level between the Vosges and Alsace, this beautiful house - converted into a hotel in 1974 by the Decker family - is now under the management of the third generation, who have brought it up to date without betraying the spirit of the place. Each of the 45 rooms and suites has its own distinctive style, featuring natural materials, spacious bathrooms and large picture windows offering views of the aromatic garden and village below. Guests come here to enjoy the charm of the estate, savor the organic and local cuisine of the restaurant led by chef duo Jean-Paul Acker, and above all discover the sumptuous 2,500 m2 "Nature-Spa" spread over three levels. Awarded the international title of best Relais & Châteaux spa in 2016, it features a sauna, hammam, treatment cabins and two indoor pools (not to mention a natural pool with pure mountain water and a large Epsom salt floatation pool, which allows the body to relax and release all tensions).
