The new flagship of the Relais & Châteaux network, La Borde in Sologne is a 17th-century château-hotel transformed into a holistic address under the impetus of Anabelle and Jean-Marie de Mourgues. The 40-hectare estate, located between Chambord and Cheverny, offers 35 rooms and suites, where the classic splendor of wood panelling and period fireplaces meets a well-found contemporary sobriety. The main attraction is the l'Orangerie spa, housed in the estate's former stables and partnered with MyBlend & Alaena organic cosmetics. Between treatments, you can stroll through the conservatory's vegetable gardens or by the pool. The Mémoire restaurant celebrates the terroir of the Sologne region, sourcing almost all its vegetables directly from the estate's kitchen garden.
