La Borde en Sologne is a 17th-century château-hotel that has been transformed into a holistic retreat under the leadership of Anabelle and Jean-Marie de Mourgues. This 40-hectare estate, located between Chambord and Cheverny, offers 35 rooms and suites where the classic splendor of period wood paneling and fireplaces meets a well-executed contemporary simplicity. The property’s main attraction is its spa, L’Orangerie, housed in the estate’s former orangery and operated in partnership with the organic skincare brands MyBlend & Alaena. Between treatments, guests can stroll through the heritage vegetable gardens or relax by the pool. The Mémoire restaurant celebrates the local Sologne region, sourcing nearly all of its produce directly from the property’s vegetable garden.
