Gault&Millau's review 2025

A must-visit destination that has been showcasing its sumptuous Haussmann-style architecture and timeless luxury for two centuries. Built between 1924 and 1926 and located on Rue de la Paix between the Opéra Garnier and Place Vendôme, the Westminster (named in honor of the Duke of Westminster, a regular guest in the 19th century) features 102 rooms and suites—ranging from Haussmannian style to contemporary designs—some with views of Place Vendôme. The perfect retreat for travelers visiting the capital, the hotel has also established itself as a highly sought-after destination for locals. The restaurant Le Céladon offers bistronomic cuisine in an elegant and intimate setting, while the very British Duke’s Bar, with its leather club chairs, piano, and black-and-white portraits, serves as the living room of Rue de la Paix. On the top floor, a wellness area featuring a sauna, hammam, massage services, and a fitness center overlooks the rooftops of Paris.
