Gault&Millau's review 2025

Right in the heart of the historic district and a 10-minute walk from the beach, the former Arcachon water factory has been converted into an intimate retreat with 18 rooms divided between the main building and the "Lilas Blanc" annex, 100 m away. With its attic spaces and British-inspired antique furniture, the premises exude a warm, refined atmosphere, as in the dining room with its fine wood panelling, where locals and travellers alike flock to savour bistronomic cuisine by Xavier Béarnais and Mathieu Acot-Mirande. The hotel also boasts a spa, a beautiful terrace and even a stage suspended over the swimming pool, where concerts are regularly organized. And the best is yet to come with the discovery of the Pereire beach, where the establishment installs a large hut for its guests as soon as the weather is fine, perfect for enjoying a drink while admiring the sunset over the ocean.
