Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the heart of Aigues-Mortes, this 16th-century building backing onto the ramparts welcomed Charles V to meet François I in 1538. It has since survived the centuries to become a haven of 25 ultra-comfortable rooms and suites, decorated in a warm, refined Provencal style. The Villa's other nuggets include a remarkable gourmet table designed by chef Cyril Labadie, a 300 m2 spa with sauna, hammam and massages, a fitness room and a beautiful indoor heated swimming pool. An ideal base for exploring the Petite Camargue, with its marshes and ponds, a paradise for pink flamingos.
