Outstanding Hotel On the outskirts of Piana, this historic hotel perched 300 m above the water proudly overlooks the Gulf of Porto, offering guests one of Corsica's most spectacular sunsets, with its calanques setting ablaze at dusk. With its century-old building and Art Deco furnishings, owner Mady Dalakupeyan jealously guards this treasure, infusing it with a delightfully old-fashioned atmosphere. What's on the menu? 30 rooms with polished parquet floors, an Art Nouveau restaurant where chef Steven Da Cunha De Freitas officiates and, last but not least, a sheepfold nestled in the scrubland with, below, a small path winding its way through the maquis to Arone beach.
