Gault&Millau's review 2025

Located between the Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord train stations, this hotel designed by Adrien Gloaguen (part of the Touriste group, which also includes the Panache, the Beaurepaire, and the Bienvenue) is helping to breathe new life into this working-class, multicultural neighborhood. True to his commitment to offering stylish and affordable spaces, Adrien Gloaguen enlisted British designer Luke Edward Hall. With emerald-green walls, black herringbone floors, and gold-toned furniture, the tone is set right from the lobby and carries through the 40 guest rooms, featuring vibrant colors, beautiful Art Deco furniture, and posters by Andy Warhol and David Hockney. In the basement, a fitness center with a sauna rounds out the hotel’s amenities. Right across the street, Café Les Deux Gares, the hotel’s second restaurant, is led by chefs Jonathan Schweizer and Ilaria Conti, who reinterpret the traditions of the Parisian bistro with heartwarming generosity, while Les Deux Gares Express, on the ground floor, serves small plates and sandwiches throughout the day.
