Gault&Millau's review 2025

This establishment enjoys a perfect location, in the heart of the town of Chinon and a stone's throw from its sumptuous fortress, on the banks of the Vienne river. Warm and informal, it houses 32 generously-sized rooms, divided between the 19th-century residence, with its white stone walls and antique wood panelling, the "Villa Plantagenêt", with its contemporary-style family suites, and the "Maison Bourgeoise", whose rooms open onto the garden, the troglodyte dwellings on the hillside and the collegiate church of Saint-Mexme.
