Gault&Millau's review2025
Unquestionably the finest address in the Arcachon basin. Imagine a former hunting lodge built in the 1930s, with an exceptional view of the Dune du Pilat (the highest in Europe), Cap Ferret and the Banc d'Arguin. Entirely redesigned by Philippe Starck in 2009, the establishment is a reflection of its geography, with 11 ultra-chic rooms located in the main building and 18 nestled in oyster farm-style bungalows. All are decorated in raw materials and warm tones, with beautiful rattan furniture, oriental tiles and terraces that open onto the ocean... The ocean, in fact, which is best admired from the terrace perched 50 m above sea level, where you can sip a house cocktail or enjoy a seafood platter while admiring the hypnotic sunset over the Atlantic.
