Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the Chartrons district, birthplace of the Bordeaux wine trade, Hôtel Indigo Bordeaux Centre offers a bohemian interlude between lively quays and XVIII facades. Imagined by designer Stella Cadente, this 100-room, 4-star boutique hotel features a colorful palette - lemon, lagoon, salmon - inspired by the Arcachon basin. Industrial glass roofs, murals, custom-made furniture: every detail pays homage to the soul of the area. The highlight of the address is the rooftop Le Tchanqué, named in homage to the huts on stilts in the basin, with its panoramic view over the Garonne. Local wines, suites perched in the rotunda overlooking the rooftops of Bordeaux, an arty spirit and local roots: everything here cultivates a gentle singularity.
