Gault&Millau's review 2025

We love everything about this magical retreat. The breathtaking view of the Atlantic from the mouth of the Gironde, the carefully restored 1920s half-timbered villa surrounded by a pine forest and, just around the corner, a string of sandy beaches... Only two bedrooms and one suite match this harmony, revealing uncluttered luxury with their marble bathtubs, white panelling and light oak parquet flooring. Once you've packed your bags, all that's left to do is head to Chez Bob, a restaurant offering classic brasserie dishes, served in a dedicated room or on the rooftop overlooking the ocean. And let's not forget the tapas and cocktails to be ordered in the delightful garden of a neighboring house. Last but not least, a special mention for the spa, with hammam, sauna and massage and treatment cabins by American brand Dermalogica.
