Nestled on the Ile Saint-Louis, this address delights history buffs who feel they've discovered a rare place, hidden behind a discreet porch at the end of a cobbled lane... On the former site of a jeu de paume built in 1634 at the request of Louis XIII, who came here to take part in numerous jousts. Transformed into a commercial building in 1747, two centuries later it seduced the architect Guy Prache, who decided to convert it into a hotel, jealously preserving the exposed stonework and majestic beams of these former halles. These now house 30 luxurious rooms and suites, not to mention two 2- and 3-bedroom apartments that let you live like a Parisian. In the heart of the building, a magnificent atrium houses the dining room for breakfast, while the hotel also offers light meals in the rooms throughout the day. The Jeu de Paume also boasts a fitness area in its vaulted cellars, complete with sports equipment, hammam, sauna and massage cabins.
