Gault&Millau's review 2025

One of Le Grand Bornand's most authentic addresses, run for three generations by the Hudry family, whose grandfather Ernest was one of the founders of the Aravis resort. Just 100m from the slopes, this beautiful mountain chalet in the hamlet of Chinaillon houses 8 rooms and suites, giving the place the feel of a real family home. Mountain decor in the cocoon-like rooms, brunch with homemade pies and cakes served from 10.30am to 12pm, and charcuterie and smoked fish platters in the Strato bar area with its club armchairs and large fireplace... Everything here is designed for a generous family stay. Also not to be missed, the basement spa with hammam, sauna and treatment and massage rooms, and the boutique (Maison Hudry) offering a witty selection of clothing and decorative objects.
