Opposite the Lille Opera and a stone's throw from the Grand'Place, the Hôtel Carlton celebrates its 100th anniversary and remains a landmark address in the city center. Built in the 1920s by architect Armand Lemay on the ruins of the Café Jean, it owes its name to the British hotel company that made it one of the city's most elegant establishments. Its monumental dome, a nod to the royal crown, now houses a spectacular 80 m² suite on two levels, complete with hammam, spa and gold-leaf ceiling, offering a breathtaking view of Place du Théâtre. Its 59 rooms cultivate a classic charm that has seduced Whitney Houston, Jacques Chirac and Jean-Paul Belmondo.
