Just a stone’s throw from the Lille-Flandres train station, the former Scalbert-Dupont bank from the 1930s no longer issues banknotes—but it does offer delightful experiences. The Oceania Group has transformed this Art Deco building while preserving its original spirit: the vault now houses a wellness area with an indoor pool and sauna, while the former teller windows have been transformed into a spectacular bar beneath the period glass roof. In the 87 guest rooms, the charm lies in the combination of fine materials, soft lighting, and vintage touches. At Les Augustins restaurant, Chef Jayson Clément elevates regional ingredients through a committed and generous brasserie-style cuisine, where a Flemish beef stew infused with beer flower and juniper stands out—the perfect dish before sampling the signature cocktails.
