Gault&Millau's review2026
Just a stone's throw from Lille-Flandres station, a former bank dating from the 1930s no longer delivers banknotes, but beautiful moments. The Océania group has reinvented this Art Deco building, preserving its original spirit: the vaults now house a swimming pool and a Sothys spa, while the old teller windows have been transformed into a bar under a period glass roof, complete with green marble and brass. In the rooms, the charm of noble materials, subdued lighting and a chromatic palette inherited from the 1930s. In the kitchen, chef Jayson Clément sublimates regional products in a committed and generous cuisine, where he simmers a Flemish carbonnade with beer flower and juniper. An emblem, to be enjoyed before one of the surprising house cocktails.
