Gault&Millau's review 2025

Backed by a beautiful pine forest overlooking the Mediterranean, this hotel has long been a stronghold for racing drivers taking part in races on the nearby Paul-Ricard circuit. The hotel (a Relais & Châteaux member) has been lovingly restored and gradually transformed into the luxury retreat it is today. Spread over a 12-hectare estate with numerous views of the Mediterranean, the bastides and villas house 43 rooms and suites decorated in cosy-chic Provencal tones. Guests come here to enjoy the refinement of the surroundings, recharge their batteries at the swing center (golf training center) or at the 700 m2 spa, voted best luxury spa in Europe in 2019 and 2021, which features an indoor pool, hammam, sauna, salt grotto and a wide range of treatments. Other highlights include the 3 restaurants, including La Table du Castellet, a gourmet favorite under the direction of chef Fabien Ferré, former second-in-command to Christophe Bacquié (now at Bonnieux).
