Staying right on Arras’s Grand-Place—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—is a rare opportunity that few hotels can offer. This is the Grand Place Hotel’s main selling point; it’s housed in a building with a Flemish-style façade in the heart of one of the most beautiful Baroque squares in northern France. The hotel emphasizes a cozy atmosphere: classic rooms and several types of apartments, some with kitchenettes, for longer stays or those seeking more independence. The belfry and historic squares are just a short walk away. A bar and the Anagram restaurant round out the experience. The location is the main draw here; this is both the property’s strength and its limitation: aside from the view of the Grand-Place, the hotel doesn’t have much else to boast about. But for staying right in the heart of Arras, it’s the most straightforward option.
