Gault&Millau's review2025
Built in 1769 at the instigation of the Duke of Lorraine Stanislas Leszczynski, Louis XV's father-in-law, this architectural gem was for many years a music school. Now refurbished as a hotel, it offers the rare luxury of staying in a building that pays homage to the best of French decorative art, with its grand salons adorned with antique woodwork and moldings. The 51 rooms and suites have a more contemporary feel, with beautiful shades of gray and taupe, 5-star bedding and, above all, dazzling views over Europe's most beautiful square, Place Stanislas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A rare place, the perfect base from which to discover the city's Art Nouveau splendors.
