Gault&Millau's review 2025

Regularly voted the world’s best hotel by the international press, this luxury hotel, which opened in 1928, has it all. It features 244 luxurious Louis XVI-style rooms and suites designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, a 720 m² spa featuring a 17-meter-long swimming pool, and three of the capital’s most prestigious restaurants —Le Cinq (under the direction of Chef Christian Le Squer), L’Orangerie, and Le George—all set around a charming inner courtyard. Scattered throughout the palace, Jeff Leatham’s sumptuous floral arrangements define the venue’s character—a perfect blend of refinement and whimsy that makes it one of the capital’s most alluring hotels. Finally, a special mention for tea time, which showcases the best of Parisian pastries, served in the lounges or under the glass roof of L’Orangerie (our favorite spot), which opens onto the light-filled patio.
