Gault&Millau's review 2025

A magnificent address, where charm vies with history. 25 kilometers from Reims, this XVIIᵉ château, largely rebuilt in the 1920s, has nevertheless preserved two of its ancient towers, du Guetteur and de la Malgouverne, which dominate, as if by magic, a 70h park with its farm, stables and sheepfolds. Within the château, four guest rooms invite travelers to plunge back in time with their antique fabrics, XVIIIᵉ furniture and boudoir-like allure. Imagined as a tribute to Marie-Antoinette or Empress Joséphine, all open onto the park and its ponds, home to swans and herons. Families, however, will prefer the apartment in the nearby Medici Tower, with its two bedrooms, living room and kitchen.
