Gault&Millau's review 2026

A 15th-century château stands at the bend of a 200-hectare park ablaze with roses and hydrangeas. This Relais & Châteaux member distills the art of French living between its 40 rooms nestled in historic outbuildings, its 13 intimate cottages and its spa with two swimming pools. Two major assets: the Le Montaigu restaurant, orchestrated by chef Filipe Silvestre, and a spectacular 18-hole golf course (designed by Henry Cotton in 1967) offering unforgettable views of the medieval castle skyline. Unquestionably one of the finest courses in France.
