Gault&Millau's review 2025

Nestled in a park with sublime views of Mont Blanc, the Aravis mountain range and Lake Annecy, this member of the Teritoria network - as seductive as it is original - is the work of the wealthy American Mary Wallace Schillito and her husband, a Hindu astronomer, who had it built in 1907. Owned by the Odin family since 1994, a few traces of their whimsical spirit remain, including a delightful gold-mosaic chapel featuring illustrations of the Kabbalah and Egyptian tarot cards. For the rest, the 10 rooms and 10 suites in the château and the Maison des Écureuils take on a luxurious, contemporary look with their clean lines, luminous tones and shimmering velvets. A special mention must also go to the M restaurant and the romantic park, with its hundred-year-old pines and flowerbeds.
