Gault&Millau's review 2025

On the edge of the Lyons Forest, this beautiful property has been owned by the Bergeron family since 1973, who fell head over heels for this 19th-century château, which had been left to fall into disrepair at the time. Following a major renovation, a restaurant opened that same year. The property was later expanded to include some 12 guest rooms, which became a haven for French and international celebrities (such as Johnny Hallyday and Annie Lennox), drawn to the serenity of this bucolic and secluded estate in the Normandy Vexin region. Philippe Bergeron has now taken over from his parents, but the family spirit remains intact, with guest rooms that are as warm as they are elegant and delicious cuisine. Led by Philippe, the kitchen offers local cuisine with a few exotic touches, all served in the château’s dining room, warmed by its massive fireplace.
