Gault&Millau's review 2025

Behind its walls with their 19th-century patina, Château de la Bribourdière enjoys a destiny worthy of its history, in the midst of a centuries-old park guarded by beech, lime and oak trees. Built in 1876, this former bourgeois residence in the heart of the Pays d'Auge has been restored to its former glory thanks to the passion of its owners, Gaëlle Alhéritière-Pesant and Jérôme Pesant, who acquired it in 2017 and transformed it into a charming hotel and an estate dedicated to major events. The Norman château houses 12 spacious rooms (31 to 40 m²), with unobstructed views over the park, as well as two reception rooms: the first floor of the château, ideal for intimate events for up to 80 guests, and the Stables, rebuilt to accommodate up to 250 guests. Just a few minutes from Cabourg, Caen and Deauville, this discreet refuge for travelers lends itself equally well to tourist stays, weddings, anniversaries, seminars and conferences.
