Gault&Millau's review 2025

A member of Relais & Châteaux, this beautiful 18th-century estate is located near the town of Lunéville, where Voltaire said he felt “as if he were in Versailles.” Carefully restored and converted into a hotel and restaurant in the 1970s, the Château d’Adoménil now invites its guests to savor the gourmet cuisine of Chef Cyril Leclerc, who showcases the ingredients and recipes of the Lorraine region. And that’s not all… To encourage their regular guests to extend their stay, Cyril and his wife Sophie have designed 14 charming rooms and suites that skillfully blend historical references with contemporary comfort; these are spread across the château, the former stables, and the winemaker’s house. Also worth mentioning is the beautiful 7-hectare park surrounding the property, shaded by tall trees and featuring a refreshing swimming pool.
