Gault&Millau's review 2025

Halfway between the beaches and the old town, this historic hotel was renovated in 2023 by Belgian designer Ramy Fischler in an arty-chic spirit, multiplying references to the Riviera and its artists. Vast and ultra-bright, the 12 apartments and 130 rooms and suites are adorned with spectacular headboards and carpets in pointillist prints evoking the sun and the sea. Each room features one or more works by contemporary artists, also displayed in the hotel's lobby and lounges. But the star here is the azure sea, which can be admired from the room balconies, the Café Crème terrace or the rooftop with the Marea restaurant, where the Californian chef concocts delicious tapas, to be enjoyed with a cocktail or a glass of local wine.
