Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the heart of the medieval town of Saint-Valéry, this guesthouse is built around two beautiful buildings: Au Vélocipède, which houses 5 ultra-chicurious rooms with their antique furniture and cozy rugs; and, across the street, La Femme d'à Côté with 4 rooms featuring a more contemporary decor, inspired by Flemish design. Two spaces, but the same friendly, informal way of welcoming guests. A delicious breakfast is served on the terrace as soon as the sun rises, and the Au Vélocipède restaurant, serving perfectly sourced local cuisine, is not to be missed. It's the perfect place to discover the Bay of the Somme, following the invaluable advice offered by the house - canoeing and kayaking lessons in summer, and the most beautiful hiking trails.
