Exceptional Hotel Halfway between Niort, Poitiers and La Rochelle, this XVIIᵉ château recently converted into a hotel is already attracting a loyal community who swear by its many assets - a 60-hectare park where an 18-hole golf course is hidden, 18 vast rooms and suites decorated with elegance (exposed beams, antique furniture and large stained-glass windows), a gourmet restaurant, Le Daniels, in the château's beautifully restored dining room. Not to mention a wine and cognac cellar boasting some 10,000 bottles, backed by a smoking room. The beautiful chapel and orangery also add to the charm of the setting, perfect for a romantic getaway.
