Gault&Millau's review 2025

Located in the Wacken neighborhood, just a stone’s throw from the European Parliament and a 15-minute tram ride from the Old Town, this ultra-contemporary hotel is a crowd-pleaser. This is thanks to its light-filled spaces and Japanese-inspired decor—muted colors, furniture with clean lines… A well-balanced minimalism that also characterizes the 170 comfortable and spacious rooms, featuring beautiful wood paneling and large floor-to-ceiling windows, some of which offer a view of the city with the cathedral as a backdrop. People come here to savor an urban atmosphere that’s both chic and welcoming, but also to discover L’Archipel—one of Strasbourg’s finest restaurants, led by the talented Garry Baud. Also worth mentioning are the bar and the Library Café, adjacent to the restaurant, which offer a 360° view of the city.
