Gault&Millau's review 2025

A member of the MGallery group, this hotel in the heart of Alsace's vineyards is an ideal stopover along the famous wine route. Nestled in a sumptuous 16th-century historic building in the center of the small town of Barr, it features 26 tastefully decorated rooms and suites, a restaurant offering excellent bistronomic cuisine with La Table du 5 under the direction of Thomas Koehren and Joël Philipps, housed in a dry-stone hall and extended by a large terrace. And that's not all, as the venue also houses one of the region's most spectacular spas, housed beneath the building's historic vaults. Designed by Gemology, it features an indoor pool, hammam, sauna and treatment rooms for the brand's gemstone-based treatments.
