Bakery Frédéric Charpentier, baker at Maison Guinon, surely offers the best baguette in Versailles, available any time of day and prepared the old-fashioned way. He has set up store in this pretty pastel-toned store, with moldings and gilding, a cachet that goes so well with the nearby château. The viennoiseries have the perfect puff pastry, and the fruit, mousse and chocolate entremets are a success. Guinon, a historic name well in tune with the times.
