This summer, Cannes saw the emergence of a new trend with “Grandma’s Ice Cream” from La Poulidetto, a new ice cream shop in the Palm Beach neighborhood overlooking the Moure Rouge beaches. “Grandma’s ice cream” is, first and foremost, an excellent, 100% artisanal ice cream served with a smile by Claire, who has been operating out of her grandmother’s former garage—now converted into a shop—since June. This venture aims to save the family home and gradually transform it into a place dedicated to indulgence and camaraderie. In this way, the young woman pays tribute to her grandmother while reviving the pleasure of old-fashioned afternoon treats with ice cream and a lovely drink menu—specialty coffee, matcha tea, lattes, and more. Available in 24 flavors, the ice creams and sorbets—made without added flavors or colors—are served in small cups, cones, or sharing bowls. This delicious selection was named the best ice cream in Cannes by City Hall!
