La Benarderie combines a family-run farm, a large-scale farm store and fun tourist activities for young and old. Located in Hourtin on the Route des Lacs between Lacanau and Soulac-sur-Mer, this address is well worth an extended, regular visit. The store is packed with quality farm produce, mainly from local sources, with some 2,000 items including fruit and vegetables, meats, eggs, cheeses, wines and beers. From the end of May to mid-September, picking at the farm is in full swing! A magical moment for the whole family, it's a real treat to leave with your own apples, blueberries, tomatoes, summer vegetables, squash and bouquet of fresh flowers! After picking, the day continues with a tour of the giant corn maze on foot or by electric tractor, or a game of escape. Open year-round (and 7/7 in season), the site offers a wide range of activities and seasonal events, such as the potato fair and flower arrangement workshop.
