Winemaker
Domaine de Gournier, non-conformist wines in a "cold" part of the Gard... In 1983, Maurice Barnouin took over the reins of the estate, and it was the height of the development of varietal wines. But he continued to innovate: pinots noirs, riesling and sauvignon. Today, with 150 ha of Vin des Cévennes, he produces two distinct ranges: Mas Brès, made from a portion of tenanted vines grown organically, and Domaine de Gournier, his classic range.
