Winemaker Located in Bégadan, in the north of the Médoc and close to the Gironde, La Tour de By, a small lighthouse built in 1825 to guide traffic on the estuary, gave its name to the current 76-hectare estate. Marc Pagès became sole owner in 1999 until his death in 2007. His grandson, Frédéric Le Clerc, assisted by his cousin Benjamin Richer de Forges, took over management. Château La Tour de By, a member of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, was elevated to the level of Crus Bourgeois Exceptionnels in 2003.
