Description

From their micro-domain created in 2012, Stéphanie Chevreux and Julien Bournazel craft their artisanal cuvées from their two small parcels planted with Meunier (40 ares overlooking Vallée de la Marne and 30 ares exposed on a hillside in the Vallée du Surmelin). Respecting the principles of biodynamics (certified in 2015), they make their own compost preparations and care for their vines using fertilizers from their herd of goats. The wines generally rest for 10 months in barrels and bottling is carried out using traditional tools.

Gault&Millau review
The very first vintage of this Meunier “Parcel”, produced only 293 bottles. The nose is just superb, mixing scents of wild mushrooms, brioche, pastry and mirabelle liqueur. On the palate, the champagne offers a very fine bitterness that balances richness and lengthens on the finish. A top great wine to open with sweetbreads and porcini mushrooms.

Only 1,100 bottles were made from this 40 are micro vineyard cultivated as a biodynamic garden. This pure Meunier, aged in oak barrels, offers a vibrant, dynamic, powerful, and particularly scintillating wine. A superb champagne with a strong personality.

Gault&Millau review
A rare white Coteaux Champenois made only from Meunier grapes from the 2018 harvest. This wine spent two winters maturing before being bottled in May 2020, and is proving to be very successful. The nose is particularly fine and mineral. The palate matches with a lively, vibrant wine of great and beautiful tension. But only 850 bottles…. what a shame !

Ratafia

Gault&Millau review
